I believe there needs to be proper training on how to recruit minority groups such as BIPOC and women. These trainings would include building relationships with minority societies (e.g., National Society of Black Engineers)

Also, administer a survey to understand the perceptions of women and minorities.

The departments should consider survey development. The surveys would allow for a cohesive understanding of the perceptions of fairness that minority and women members of these departments have, namely if these underrepresented employees sense a difference in treatment that may differ from the perceptions of non-minorities employees. By viewing and understanding the differences in the surveys, a foundation for a job analysis system that will be effective in appealing to and recruiting minorities and women.
