In order to increase the number of women in the construction field, we need assistance with day care hours of operation. Many women are single mother's but when they must arrive at work by 5am, there are very few day care options. Also, single mothers who are trying to improve the lives of their children and themselves, should not have assistance cut when they begin making money.
The department of education Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA)should look at the Individual Support & Placement model (IPS) an evidence-based model to provide employment services to people with disabilities. The State of Ca. DoR is challenged with many barriers to providing services to folks with SMI.

There are many opportunities available for construction related jobs and other industries, except there is a gap in available skilled laborers/trades. I think many states could benefit from Apprenticeship programs that teach students or young adults various trades and skills that could help them to learn a very sought after trade and higher salary.
